Ahmad Anouti

Biography

Dr. Anouti is a liver transplant recipient, physician, and patient advocate whose lived experience inspires his work to improve outcomes in liver disease and transplantation. He serves on the board of the Texas Liver Care Foundation providing a unique patient-centered perspective.

 

Dr. Anouti earned his medical degree and bachelor’s degree in biology from the American University of Beirut. He is a pediatric resident in the Physician-Scientist Training Program (PSTP2) at UT Southwestern and a former postdoctoral fellow with more than 30 publications and 40 presentations on liver disease. His research focuses on biliary atresia mechanisms and pediatric liver transplant outcomes. He has also served as the patient keynote at The Liver Meeting 2024 and as a speaker for A3, and holds leadership roles with the Global Liver Institute, American Liver Foundation, and the Biliary Atresia Research and Education group.
